Harlem Gospel Ensembles — NYC Singer Auditions (Two Compensation Tracks)

About this audition

ACTIVELY CASTING NON-UNION VOCALISTS FOR TWO DIFFERENT ENSEMBLES. Applications must reach recruiter/casting contact by Monday OCTOBER 26, 2026; NYC live audition Saturday October 31 from 10 AM–1 PM at Convent Avenue Baptist Church, 420 West 145th Street, Manhattan. Submit headshot, résumé, preferred voice part and ensemble selection using the casting contact on the linked recruiter source, and prepare 32-bar cuts of two contrasting gospel songs or spirituals; accompanist provided. PAY IS DIFFERENT: Harlem Praise Singers offers $275 PER COMPLETED GIG (not weekly) for Wednesday 4–7 PM concerts; the Harlem Jubilee Singers touring engagement has TBD/DEFERRED compensation contingent on a future agreement/project success, NOT a guaranteed $275 gig. Singers should have prior gospel ensemble experience and learn harmony by ear; Jubilee touring roles require a valid passport. Direct recruiter posting, separate Backstage casting-company original listing and Playbill-indexed source currently corroborate the Oct31 audition and $275 Praise rate; recruiter and Playbill also state Oct26 submission. Backstage and Playbill excerpts are labeled archived web-index evidence, not publisher HTML downloads. No audition appointment or guaranteed contract is implied.
